Children’s Musuem & 100 Acres

July 31st, 2010 @ 8:10 pm

Y’all have heard the rundown from the Children’s Museum before, so I won’t bore you with the blow-by-blow. The important thing to know is that we did it all. 100%. Every nook and cranny. From the time they opened the doors to the time they kicked us out. Then, as if that weren’t enough for the day, we went over to the new 100 Acres exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. It is a big ol’ park with a lot of crazy sculptures and exhibits to walk around and see, play with, and jump on!

Fair, Birthday, and Mitchell

On Thursday, after Momma’s training was over, she came out to Mema’s and swept us (and Mema reluctantly) up off to the fairgrounds once again. It was Family Day, so ride tickets only cost 1 ticket per ride. She got enough tickets for Una and me to each ride 8 rides! We started off on the helicopters together. From there, we headed to the Crazy Bus. Momma was super surprised that I rode it since last year she had to ride with me. No worries, Momma, I’m a big boy! We hit our remaining rides before giving winning a goldfish a shot to no avail. Una won a stuffed snake at the watergun races, and I got an awesome sword at the Lucky Duck booth! Momma said it was the best $41 she’s spent…whatever that means?!? We topped our time off with an elephant ear and a quick trip to the trailer to see Pepa and Uncle TC.

On Friday, since Una was in Chicago with Gigi, I got to spend the whole day with Mema. It was super fun. Aside from a quick lunch at McDonalds, I got to spend the whole day in my PJs and play Pogo-a-Gogo on Mema’s computer. We also got to spend a little time with Baby Mitchell when he came out to the house to get some relieve from the hot fair day. I love Baby Mitchell. Momma says I’m such a good helper. I’m just glad there’s another boy around to play with!

On Saturday, we were up bright and early to head to the fair grounds for the very LAST Mugg Electric teardown day of hell (Momma wrote that part). Apparently they’ve been doin’ this gig for quite awhile…longer than I’ve been alive! Whoa! But I don’t understand why Momma complains about it so much. I got to ride in the “lifter” with TC for most of the time. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that! Momma said I was a SUPER helper.

We celebrated by spending a few hours in the pool with Mema, Riley, Taylor, and the whole gang before heading out to a dinner at O’Charley’s to celebrate Uncle TC’s 27th birthday! Again, Whoa! Don’t worry TC, you don’t look a day over 4! :)

Parker Quotes:
While sitting in the bathroom at Mema’s house; “Mema! Did you say Alpha Pig?” in a dinosaur-like loud voice.
On the way home from Edinburg Outlet Mall, Parker draws his sword and pokes Momma in the arm and says, “Are you crazy, Momma?” Again, loud dino voice.

At the Fair with Pepa

Sorry we’ve had a dry spell. Momma will try and do a better job of keeping up on that. Today momma had us up bright and early to visit Pepa at the fair. She has to go to school at Purdue this week, so Mema and Pepa took care of us today Pepa took us to see all the animals. My favorite was the bunny barn and the llamas that I fondly call camels. I learned that when llamas point their ears they are about to spit at you! After a toodle around the fair grounds, we headed to Pepa’s trailer for some AC and snacks. Mema came over after she finished teaching. She packed us up and we headed to Taco Bell for some lunch. We spent a little time playing Pop Tropica, Momma called and said class got out early. When she asked me if she could come to see us, I told her no. Una and I know that when the Momms and Daddys show up the party is over. But, she said we could all go swimming for awhile before heading home. Awesome! Another chance to swim without my floaties! Our swimming time was cut short when Momma’s hurt toe needed to be looked at by a professional. She got some x-rays and medicine all while I slept in the waiting room with Mema. I wonder what’s in store tomorrow? Thanks Mema and Pepa! See ya in the AM.

Last Day

July 1st, 2010 @ 6:32 pm

Today was Ms Rhonda’s (Ron-na) and Ms Kathy’s last day to be my preschool teachers. I am very sad, but I didn’t let Ms Rhonda see me cry. I had to put on my macho face to get through the good-bye. In the car on the way home, I told Momma, “I love Ms Rhonda.”
