So today was errand-running day…on steriods! Una and I woke up at 6:15 and were ready to hit the ground running! Daddy took us (me in my jammies) to the gas station for some coffee and donuts. After Momma made the list of things to do (it got left on the kitchen counter), we were off and running! Our first stop, and most significant was to Build a Bear. Yep. Today was the day that they hijacked my stinky binkie. I picked out a monkey, kissed a satin heart to put inside, and VERY reluctantly put my binkie inside. I stepped on the peddle to bring my new stuffed friend to life, but I was (and am) very concerned about the binkieless situation at hand. I kept looking at Momma with my big eyes and pasty white face wondering how she could do this to me. I kept myself together long enough for Daddy to find a… BATMAN outfit for my monkey to wear! He has a cape…just like me and a belt just like me! I’m not going to say that I’m 100% okay with the whole situation, but I did score a pretty cool friend out of it.
Parker had a hard time “nesting” at bedtime, but he finally racked out around 8:00. I just hope he doesn’t find the back-up bink I can’t seem to find!

On Saturday, we were up and rolling super early because we were so excited to get up to Indiana Beach! We were meeting Riley, Taylor, Aunt Carrie, and Uncle Manata up in Monticello to go crazy at the old IB. After a long car ride with a few “are we there yet?” milestones and a quick bite for lunch, we crossed over the famed suspension bridge and made a bee line to Kiddyland. Once our wrists were wrapped with fancy bands, we started knocking out rides faster than you could say miniature airplanes. We were about 3 or 4 rides deep when we met up with the rest of our crew and started teaming up on those spinning carousels of fun. I would say that we probably did the whole circuit a dozen times, including a few stops over to the Frog Hopper. I actually fell asleep for a little while while resting up for the grand finale…the big Gondola Wheel! We were way, way up tall and the wind was whipping pretty good up there, but the view was pretty awesome. We capped off the evening with a classic dinner at Angler’s before piling in our cars for the journey home where we crashed straight to bed. Thanks Lafayette Lawsons for a great day of fun!

So this morning Mema came down to help out the usual morning routine since Daddy’s in Chicago and Momma MUST be at work by 7:45. By the time Mema rolled in the driveway, Momma had us dressed with teeth brushed at 6:40 AM. Mema was super impressed to see us all up and moving. That’s how we roll, Mema!
We hung around the house until about 8:15 jumping on pillows, eating snacks, and vegging out on TV before we were off to school. Mema got to take me upstairs for dropoff. First time ever to go straight upstairs to preschool! Also, first time in a long time…NO CRYING!!! That’s right…no tears, no shaky chin, no screaming, no clinging…I did it all big boy style! Thanks for the dropoff, Mema. Momma says you may have signed yourself up for AM dropoff duty since it went so well today! Thanks, Mema!

Morgan wasn’t the only one with big school news. I spent the day upstairs in the big kids Preschool room today! I’m going to start spending more time up there and start hanging out with the big kids, which will be super cool. We spelled my name, drew pictures, and sang pirate songs…what could be better?
