More News on the Pee-Pee FrontJust an update…I’ve remained accident free for the last three days at my school and I have stopped crying when put on the potty! I have even been telling Momma and Daddy when I have to go! I’m making progress! Pee Pee in the PottyBig news on the potty front…I’m starting to get the hang of it a little more. Not that I like it at all. I still like to protest. But, I’m starting to accumulate a lot more successes and managed to keep my unders dry all day today! That is an especially big accomplishment since there was plenty of distraction and running around, making it hard to concentrate on keeping Mommy and Daddy informed of my potty needs. We took off first thing this morning and headed down to hit Party Tree, World Market, and Hobby Lobby…all before noon! Of course, we checked out the bathroom in each one of those fine establishments to make sure there was plenty of opportunity for pee pee. Then, we hooked up with the Byrne family at Scotty’s for some lunchy lunch. Everyone ate really well and was on their best behavior, so the parents gave the green light for a Costco trip. But, not before two trips to the potty at Scotty’s (hey, that rhymes!), one of which was a successful, high-fiving pee trip! We made our way through the craziness that is Costco on a Saturday and managed to sneak in a visit the fine facilities. Then, the whole Lawson and Byrne crew hit Yogokiss for some frozen yogurt to top off the day. Yup, a potty visit there, too! Finally, we bid the Byrnes farewell and headed home to crash after the big day, where I amazed everyone with yet another successful trip to the pee-er (even though I didn’t get everything “tucked in” right away and managed to wizz on Morgan’s jammies…sorry Una). So, all things considered, a rocking day of Byrnes and bathrooms. Wish me luck for tomorrow! Off to the Races!Yep…it’s that time of year again…it’s time for Race for the Cure! We hit the road early on Saturday morning to meet with up with the Lafayette Lawsons, and 40,000 other people, in Indy to participate in our annual one mile family walk! I’m not sure who really won the “race,” but I sure did do a bunch of fast walkin’! Thank goodness Aunt Carrie brought the Hula Wagon so that I could take a turn resting my short little legs every now and then. We all worked up such a appetite that as quickly as we could, we headed to Mellow Mushroom for some pizza, pretzels, and good times with my sis and cousins. After lunch, we did a little shopping and went home to play before carrying out the regular evening routine of dinner, bath, and bedtime. Today was Mada’s big 80th Birthday Bash in Delphi! The day started with our pictures being taken at the Case House with the whole family. As everyone knows, picture day equals grumpy mad face, crying, tears, protesting, and complete loss of smiles…and that just describes Daddy’s mood! Okay, so I had some diva moments of my own, but what else do you do on picture day when you’re two and half?!? After the last click of the shutter, all the daddy’s packed up all the kids and made a quick trip to McDonald’s to get some grub and let all the Mommas get things ready for the shin-dig. While people came to celebrate Mada’s big day, all of us played, colored, pretended dinos, ate cheese cubes, and watched movies on DVD players and Daddy’s IPhone. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing with my cousins and big sis, but they’re girls, so it was super cool when Carlos…a BOY… and his family arrived! We found out that we have something in common…Batman! We chased each other around the room playing super heros, and I even broke out my Batman PJs! After several rounds of Duck, Duck, Goose, it was time to say our good-byes, load up the car, and head back home. Thanks for having such a great party, Mada!

Cruise – Day 6 – Debark and DepartWe wrapped up our time on the big boat the same way we brought it in…late! High winds kept us in the bay for a little longer than expected, so we had a little longer on the boat this morning that was planned. No worries, though, because that left us with more time for our staple breakfast…Fruit Loops and pancakes! After breakfast, we killed some time by taking a final tour of our floating playground and ended up back in Doc Holiday’s (the site of the horrendous Karaoke incident). This time, though, we pretty much had the place to ourselves and made good use of the open floor space by running, jumping, and generally burning off that last bit of energy before the long car ride home. We even did a little rodeo on the crazy saddle bar stools! When it was time to debark, we headed down to our cabin to load up with luggage and wait for our floor to be called. As soon as the announcement was made, we sprinted to the door only to find our good old friend…a long line. We waited patiently while more people commented on my hair, then made our way to the security checkpoint and waived goodbye to our big boat as our feet hit solid ground. Next up…customs lines! We were asked if we were trying to bring any fruits or veggies back home, and Mommy explained that it wouldn’t be worth it because Una and I wouldn’t have eaten them anyway Finally, we made our way up to our car and settled in for the long drive home. Daddy pounded some pavement for the next 11 1/2 hours to take us through the 4 states on our journey back home. Everyone was pretty wiped out and hit the hay as soon as we walked in. Snuggled back in our own beds, we dreamed of sunshine and sea water and all of the great memories we made on our Spring Break trip!
