Tonight, Mommy and Daddy got pretty fancy with dinner. They broke out some of their new Dream Dinner fare and fired up the grill for some Citrus Salmon. We rounded out the crazy meal with rice and salad…and then they expected me to eat it! I went right for the salad and picked out the cheese with my fingers. The fish was a no-go no matter how hard they tried, but I eventually warmed up to the rice a little bit. Morgan did a really good job eating. She wasn’t a huge fan of the salmon either, but had two helpings of rice!
After dinner, we headed to the world famous Lebanon 4th of July Carnival at the park! I was taken back by all of the super-cool rides and games…my eyes were huge taking it all in. Morgan and I wanted to check out the carousel first, so we picked out our favorite horses and had a great time jumping them up and down around in a circle. After that, we went over to the train ride. As much as I love trains, I was a little hesitant at first, so we watched it go around a few times before I decided that I wanted to ride. Morgan is a great big sister and rode up in the engine car with me and helped drive during our turn on the choo-choo.
Next up were the games. Morgan and I fished for plastic sharks in a tank and pulled out big winners…we each won a little stuffed fish! Then, we made it to the duck pond and pulled rubber ducks until we found one with a star, which meant we were winners! Morgan picked a big inflatable Angel hammer, but I went for the black guitar with the awesome flame paint job. Uncle Manata, can you teach me how to play it?

On Sunday, we all tried to stay pretty low key since the last few days had been pretty jam packed and exhausting! Daddy and Morgan played A LOT of Indiana Jones while Momma and I played and read a book together here and there.
After my nap, and in an effort to save money on gas, we stayed in Lebtucky to hit the movies…Kung Fu Panda! It ended up being not-so-money saving! Momma ended up using half of her garage sale loot to get tickets, popcorn, and two drinks (seriously, it ended up costing just shy of $40!!). Money aside, the movie was pretty good, except the last 15 minutes were pretty bad, I was told, because Daddy had to take me out of the theater…I was getting a little too rowdy for their liking. Back home, playtime, dinner, bath, and bed. A good ending to a hectic weekend!
Today, it was “stay home day with Momma.” We hit the library first thing to return our books, get new ones, and pick out prized for all of the books we’ve read so far this summer. I got a blue ball. Last week I got a green ball. Next week, I get a book for reaching my summer reading goal. I’d rather have a ball. Morgan and I also made a caterpillar craft at the library. MLee’s really into this crafty stuff. I’d rather throw the materials while Momma makes mine. It works out for everyone that way!
We hit the post office and the Kroger. Momma always gets the car cart. Halfway through our shopping, I like to get out and walk along side the car. Momma thinks it’s pretty funny…Morgan in the car cart, Parks walking along side.
After my nap today, we spent the whole rest of the afternoon outside (owdide). We hit the Lebanon Park for awhile and then came home to play with the sand and water table, our swing set, the pool, our sprinklers, sidewalk chalk, and poppers! Needless to say, we were pretty tired, wet, and dirty. Straight up to the shower (I HATE showers) to rinse away all of the sand, grass, and dirt. Whew–what a fun stay at home day with Momma! I think she liked it too!
