One word describes today’s visit to Busch Gardens….DOMINATION! In Legendary Lawson style, we rocked out a visit to this awesome theme park beginning at 9:30 AM and not ending until 7 PM. That’s what I call a good day! After having a complimentary breakfast at our hotel, we all loaded the shuttle van for a total of ten minutes to be dropped off at the front gates of Busch Gardens. Our first stop was to have a look at the HUGE alligators that are native to Florida. Momma and Daddy said they’ve never seen any gators that big in their lives…they must be pretty big…because Momma and Daddy have been around a lot more years than I have! I’ll just have to take their word for it. We took a quick swing through the chimpanzee exhibit were the only thing cooler than staring at chimps was to jump up and down on a cool rock with my sis and cousins. The parental units mentioned something about it being the most expensive rock ever, but we didn’t care. We just laughed and kept on playing!
Next on the agenda was a show. We all decided to take in “Katonga,” a singing a dancing show that told four different tales about life, love, and all that junk. I liked the bubbles that came down from the ceiling…and eating more Fruit loops than a Toucan! Riley, Taylor, and I were all waiting to see Elmo come on stage, but I guess he was taking a nap somewhere. No matter, we were all very entertained!
All aboard! Time for a 40 minute train (“choo-choo”) ride around the whole park! We got to see many animals on the ride…even some sort of sacred cow…whatever that means?!? After disembarking, we were all getting very hungry so it was time to hit the snacks.
We headed over to an area that had hippos to play on while the adults did restroom breaks and ordered some grub. I liked running around all of the hippos and taking my shot at jumping off, too. I may be little, but I can run with the big kids, too! Morgan especially liked crawling into the big hippo and peeking out its mouth and belly. Riley and Taylor loved laughing at Morgan peeking out its mouth and belly! Taylor took ownership of one of the hippos calling it, “Her baby.” While we were eating, we were joined by several birds that I said, “Hi,” to…over and over again! Lunch was finished up by Uncle Manata ordering a delicious funnel cake and sharing it with everyone…Yummy!
On to Dragon Land! This was the coolest place because it was especially for little squirts like me…and the girls. I rode my very first non-adult chaperoned ride…boats! MorganLee went with me and we had a great time! Thanks, MLee! Morgan and Daddy took a trek through the three story tree house and over to an oversized obstacle course via a rope path! That Morgan is pretty brave! After, we hit the water part. Morgan immediately made a friend which left me to splash around with Daddy. That was super fun! After a spin on the carousel, it was time to move on to the next attraction on our list. Needless to say, we spent around 3 hours in Dragon Land and didn’t even do all the stuff that was there!
We caught a little outside show about a lost dog named Percy and knight and a princess and a dragon. Borderline girly, but I did like the dog. Daddy took me up to meet him after the show.
I cashed out in my stroller, so Mommy thought it’d be a good time to let all of the roller coaster lovin’ adults (herself not included) hit Sheikra (big rollercoaster) while she chilled with all of us little people. From what I understand, because I was catchin’ some zzzz’s, Mommy had to play some zone defense. Four kiddos on one adult…not lookin’ so good for the Momma. BUT-everyone was great and MorganLee was an AWESOME helper entertaining Riley and Taylor while they stayed seated in their stroller! AUNT HEATHER NOTE: Excellent job, Ladies!
After the return of the fearless threesome, we headed to another ride…Rhino Rally. But, it was only for three year olds and up, and it seemed a little dicey by the sounds of the description…NO HEALTH PROBLEMS, SECURE ALL LOOSE ITEMS, and JERKY MOVEMENTS. Maybe another day. Sorry Rhinos!
Up next was getting Morgan’s hair wrap. Make sure to check out the pictures of her getting her hair did! It’s really cool and is supposed to last at least two weeks. Momma and Daddy said it should last two years for the price. A quick stop a the gift shop to get a stuffed grrrr-afff (giraffe) for me and a lion cub (named Parker) for Morgan, and we were off to conclude our trip to Busch Gardens with a visit to the famous Anheuser Bush Clydesdales…and Sprint the Donkey. I pointed to every one of them and said, “Neigh,” just to remind them what they’re supposed to say.
Back on the shuttle, bathed, and eating another round of buffet style fast food by 8 PM. Eyes closed by 8:50. Like I said, complete domination!
