Painting, Parties, and Pucks

The kitchen and bathroom are finally DONE! None too soon, though. I think Momma and Daddy were up pretty late finishing all the painting and installations before Momma’s big jewelry party on Saturday. I knew Momma had lots to do on Saturday morning before everyone arrived, so I decided to wake her up at 5:45! You’re welcome! Daddy took MLee and me to FlapJacks for breakfast while Momma went to the grocery and got started baking and cooking for all the guests. By the time I got home from stuffing my face with pancakes, I was pretty tired so I took a nap until show time. There were so many people in our house that I was a little shy during most of the party. Daddy whisked me downstairs for a lot of the time so Momma could hang out with all the girls. Momma thinks that Morgan and I are loud when we play, but let me tell you…a room full of 14 girls ranks right up there with attending a rock concert!!

Later on, Uncle Manata brought Riley and Taylor down to meet up with us, and we headed to Indy for our very first hockey game! Since it started at 7:00 (my bedtime) I was pretty mello throughout the whole game and was pretty content snuggling on Daddy. Morgan and Momma spent a lot of time toodling the ATM machine and snack stands, so I’m not sure how much of the game they actually saw. We left with about 15 minutes left in the game to head for home, but it seems like everyone had fun chillin’ on the ice. Hockey!

Like MLee said, we headed to Mema and Pepa’s after having some grub. Little did we know that they are in the middle of home improvement, too. They’re installing crown molding in the kitchen so their house kinda’ looks like ours right now…minus the dead poinsettia and laundry heaps everywhere! After checking out a quick movie of Elmo on the computer, it was time to get bundled up (VERY BUNDLED) and head out to hit the slopes (OK, the bunny hill). After a few trips down by Morgan, and me with Daddy and Morgan, everyone (me not included) thought it’d be great to send ME down the hill in the sled all by myself. As soon as I took off, I went from a seated upright position to flat on back screaming all the way! Momma took a video, so I’m sure that will hit the site soon. BUT WAIT – while Daddy attempted to carry me back up to the top of the hill, he slipped and dropped me in the snow…TWICE!!! Mommy laughed so hard I think she was the one that needed a diaper! While everyone else laughed…I cried. I was pretty much done with sledding and snow. Every time someone would ask me if I wanted to sled, I screamed to let them know my very firm answer. I was so mad about the whole situation that I didn’t even want any snow touching my shoes.

Morgan went down a couple of times on her belly, no sled, pretending to be a macaroni penguin. The snowy adventures ended when Momma hopped on the sled by herself and took out Morgan Lee completely (video courtesy of The Daddy). No one was hurt, except Momma’s sides from laughing so hard.

Thanks to Mema and Pepa for letting us come invade your house for the afternoon! I can’t say that I ever want to go sledding again, but I’m all about your snacks!
