This week

August 26th, 2006 @ 10:17 am

Whether it is the fancy new formula, the schedule, or the super-tight burrito swaddling, things are definitely looking up.  I’ll still have an outburst now and then, but no marathon screaming sessions in a while!  I’m devouring my food…I’m up to a full 4 oz. already and Mommy and Daddy think I would eat more if they let me.  Chins are all the rage, so I’m going to try to collect as many as I can.

All of that eating occasionally leads to some pooping.  My poop face looks just like my big sister’s did:

And here are some shots of me in my special tub at bath time:

Sleep Update

August 22nd, 2006 @ 8:09 am

While I’m doing a much better job not keeping Mommy up ALL night, I did manage to get her up every two hours last night, either for some grub which I eat entirely too fast, or because I poop myself silly in the middle of the night/morning and don’t like sleeping in it!  Thanks, Mom!

Mommy Note:  Nights are a little better simply because he’s sleeping in his room and I don’t hear every little grunt.   Now it’s time to work on the crab factor during the day.  Somehow, no matter what time of day that I can’t calm him down, it’s still very stressful for the Mommy.

Everybody Knock on Wood

August 21st, 2006 @ 10:35 am

So this is the first post that Mommy has helped me with since my website went live.  I think it’s because I may have had the first decent night since I’ve been home.  I decided not to scream last night.  I think Daddy, and especially Mommy really liked it.  Granted, I woke Mommy up at midnight, 3AM, and 5:30AM for some grub, but she seemed a lot happier than she’s been in two whole weeks.  Heck, that’s as long as I’ve been alive!!  They’ve tried everything under the sun to get me to be happy, but so far, and hoping not to jinx it, this combination seems to work…at least for the last 24 hours and counting.

Eat every 3 hours instead of 4

sleep in own bed during the night w/music and sound machine on & sleep downstairs during the daytime

Use weird chubby bottles to keep gas out!!!

Wake up every two hours during the day to let me know it’s daytime and not night-time

I’m sure there are some rituals that I’m forgetting, but let’s just hope this is the answer to a cease-firing on screaming!!

Today’s Pictures

August 19th, 2006 @ 7:53 pm

I’ve uploaded a few shots from today’s events, which included my first computer time with Daddy, Morgan helping with my bottle, and bath time!  Bath time was OK…at first I was scared, then got used to the warm water and was actually enjoying myself for a minute before I realized that I wasn’t eating or sleeping while in the tub!

2 weeks old

August 18th, 2006 @ 9:02 pm

Right as I’m posting this, I’m 2 weeks and 40 minutes old…quite a milestone if you ask me.  I’m eating like a champ and had an OK evening, but I still have some trouble settling down when it is time to head up to the bedroom.  Mommy and I hung out while Daddy and Morgan went to the movie theater, and I really like snuggling with her.  I bury my head down in her shoulder and can’t be rooted out until it is time to chow again.

Thanks again for all of the calls and well wishes.  It is cool that I’m already so important to so many people.
