On Saturday morning, we were up before the sun to take Momma to meet her friends at the airport. They were going to get on a plane to fly to the biggest city in the United States to do some site seeing and then a bunch of teacher stuff. Mommy did great on the flight and hit the ground running as soon as they got there and has a bunch of great stories and pictures already!
We headed back home and hung out for a minute before lunch and Phase 1 of our Daddy Duty adventure…Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. It was a really funny movie and we liked it a lot, but the best part was the kids pack that we each got for our very own!
After the movie, we headed back home and caught up on some of those missed Z’s from the morning because we knew we would be burning the midnight oil for Phase 2 of Daddy Duty…Indiana Ice! We refueled at Taco Bell before making our way to the Indiana State Fairgrounds and the Pepsi Colosseum. We met up with Riley and Taylor and they’re whole entourage…there were 11 of us in total! After procuring our block of seats, we headed up to check out the hockey action. And, hey, who knew they had snacks at the game? Well, you wanna know who figured it out…the kiddos. Ha, yea…what would those parents do without us? They would have never figured it out on their own! There were a few goals by the Ice, a lot of goals by Team USA, and a few fights. Those boys bump in to each other and push each other. There was also a big truck that cleans the ice and that was my favorite part.
Thanks to Riley and Taylor for playing hockey with us! And, we’re so proud of Momma and hope she has a great time in NYC! See you soon!

So Mommy found out about this super program called, “Give a Day, Get a Day,” where you donate a day of your time or a project and then Walt Disney World gives you a ticket for a free day at any of their theme parks! Since we are heading to sunny Florida in less than 3 weeks, Momma got right on the Project Linus donation. We had to make 3 fleece blankets (one per family member, but not me since I’m too little to participate) for babies and children in hospitals. Momma and Daddy cut, Una tied some strips, and then Una and I made “blanket hugs” to put around each blanket. Momma mailed them on Thursday, so hopefully we’ll get our 3 free tickets soon! Check out the pictures of our project!

This morning, while Momma and Una were at the doctor’s office (Una’s fine-maybe just allergies), Daddy and I went to Family Express to load up on fluids…the slushie and diet kind! Once we met up with the ladies, we headed to Lafayette to run errands and then meet up with Uncle TC, Aunt Renee, Mema, and Pepa to celebrate Aunt Renee and Momma’s birthdays! We ate some lunch at O’Charley’s and then headed back to Mema and Pepa’s house for presents and cake! Thanks to Mema and Pepa for an awesome birthday celebration for Momma!

Yesterday, Daddy and I just bummed around while Mommy and Morgan were at the girly baby shower. So, today, we needed to blow off some steam. Where better than a whole big gym all to ourself? Mommy worked in her room while Morgan, Daddy, and I took off for the other side of the school and cranked up the big lights. Then, we raided the storeroom for all of the cool toys, games, and activities they have. I really, really liked playing bowling, but I also tried out basketball, lacrosse, trampoline, football, frisbee, and rolling on the scooters. Morgan went right for the rock climbing wall. I tried to join her, but those foot holds are made for big kids and I said that my toes are too teeny tiny.
We played for a long time before we decided we needed a break and headed back to Mommy’s room to refuel. While there, we met up with Ethan and Kayden…the two little boys that went with us on the Polar Express! It didn’t take a whole lot of convincing to get them to come back to the gym with us, so Daddy lead 4 little sets of feet back down the halls. We showed those boys all the games we had been playing and also made up a few new ones that involved a lot of running really fast, jumping, and throwing balls. When we were all pretty worn out, we headed back to yank Mommy from her classroom and made her take us to Buffalo Wild Wings for a late lunch before scooting back to Lebanon. Check out some of our action shots:
